Corrison of Conformity I joined this site originaly in Feb. of 2004. I was recently booted off here for my warped sense of humor, which has forced me to reinvent myself to a degree. I have always considered myself comparable to a rubix cube, of equal sides that do not always match colors. The rubix cube metaphor equates to expressing my paradoxical-complex persona. My personality is often inviting, but occasionaly I tend to rub some the wrong way. Sometimes intentionaly, sometimes not. I tend to compartmentilze my friends, dividing and sub-dividing them into specific catagories. I have always felt the need to travel, as I have currently been to four countries, and 35 U.S. states. My dream holiday would take me to the Virgin Gorde' in the British Virgin Islands. For those who are clueless to this islands location, it is a very remote and quasi-private island in the eastren end of the Carabean Sea. Obviously I am in tune with copious amounts of music, consisting of both rock and heavy metal related, which encompess a myriad of subgenre styles. I also favor some industrial and avante-garde types of music. Please refer to my massive and perpetualy growing music list on this site as my personal music reference point. Continuing with my musical background, I was once a bass player in the early to late 1980s. I was forced to abandon that hobbie due to a sever car accident I suffered in 1987. I almost bleed to death and came very close to having my right arm amputated due to said car wreck. I was a passanger in my own car. I lost just about everything but my determination to heal at that point in time. Currently my right arm is still here, a bit scared, but it still functions well, minus some mechanical loss in my right hand's digital movements. Oneday (again) I will write a detailed blog upon my tale of personal survival, I would like to make that negative experience a TV reality show. "Survivor" would pale in comparrison to my tale of woe! Back to my musical endeavors, I was the inovator of both these videozines: "Thrash Metal", which ranged between 1988 to 1990; and "Decaying Visions",which ranged between the years between 1990 to 1992. Both videozines involved detailed interviews and live clips of the band's interviewed placed onto a 2 hour video casset. Each videozine involved partnerships, the first videozine "Thrash Metal" with Nick and Skip from PA ,and Decaying Visions with Chris Bade from here in New Jersey. Both videozines featured interviews that we all did with some of the following groups: Dark Angel, DBC, Faith or Fear, Sepultura, Anvil Bitch, Deceased, Immolation, Carcass, Unleashed, Incantation, Goreaphobia (my personal favoret-as it is hilarious), Nasty Savage, Blood Feast, Prime Evil, Nocturnus, Napalm Death, Godflesh, Nokturnal, Riping Corpse, Revenant, etc! I meet a great deal of people back then and afterwards. I began filming interviews solo for a never released videozine shot in 1993 called "The End Of Heaven" videozine..I filmed interviews with personal friends Absu, Bloodstorm, Acheron, etc... I never had the time, patience, nor proper video editing equipment to properly finish that project. I was very well known in the original U.S. thrash and death metal scenes....perhaps some of you still recall me,probably not as I enjoyed remaning in the shadows. I was huge into filming bands after my car accident, since I could not play bass any longer, and was also a huge video concert trader, up until recently. I put that hobbie on the back burner as I have different priorities in my life now. I have been to at least 500 live shows, if not more since attending my first concert, which was Iron Maiden opening for Judas Priest back in 1981! Currently, I have an amazing relationship with my girlfriend who is very knowledgable about metal and rock music-I truly meet my match! About time too :) My personal attributes are the following: I am 75% Italian and 25% Irish. I was born and raised in the southern part of Philadelphia, Pa in 1967, and resided there until 1991. In the summer of 1991 I relocated my family and I to a gorgeous single family home in southern New Jersey. I have been a suburbian guy ever since, and I like it. I spend much of my time either juggling academics, as I am currently a graduated student, who is more than 50% towards graduating with my Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Adminstration and Public Policy. My GPA thus far is a 3.9, and I am proud to say that during this fall semester, I was award by my university a fellowship award, for maintaining a high GPA. I attend school at night, part-time. Yes, it can be difficult at times and the homework & research is very involved. Graduate school is not for the simple minded and not the lethargic among you reading this personal diatribe. Do I sound egotistical? I really am not, if anything I am the first person to mock myself and doubt myself. Some unkown inner-strength guides me ahead every day. I am primarly a pessimist. Being that way causes me to rarely every be dissapointed. My philosophy of life is simple, you get what you give...Sometimes I do not give a flying fuck, maybe that is why I was booted off here after being an original feb. 14 2004 member! Ah well...dust in the wind, water under the bridge. When I drop dead, I would like my epitapth to read something to the effect that he was born to loose, but lived to win.
